Interior Painting
Do I need to move my furniture before painting?
If you'd like to move it yourself and save a little on cost, that’s totally fine with us. But we’re also happy to take care of it for you — just let us know ahead of time!
How long does an interior painting project usually take?
Our average project is 1 week for a full repaint.
What kind of paint do you use for interiors?
We typically use Sherwin Williams products.
Can you help with color selection?
Absolutely — I’d be happy to help you personally! I also work with a professional interior designer who can assist if you'd like a more in-depth consultation. We're here to make sure you feel confident in your choices.
Do you protect floors and furniture during the job?
We sure do! Just ask us for some of our protection photos — you’ll see that we cover everything carefully. We don’t take any chances when it comes to keeping your home clean and safe. Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable throughout the entire project.
Exterior Painting
What surfaces can you paint outside (siding, brick, trim, etc.)?
We can paint almost everything! This includes Hardie siding, wood and metal siding, wood trim, brick, and block. We also paint vinyl siding, but only in certain colors to ensure the best results.
What kind of weather is needed for exterior painting?
As long as it’s not raining and the surface isn’t still wet from previous rain, we’re good to go. The best temperature range for exterior painting is between 50°F and 85°F. Beyond that, most other conditions can be managed using specialized methods and techniques to ensure a quality finish.
Moisture content is also important for a lasting paint job:
Wood: Should be below 15% moisture content to prevent peeling and ensure proper adhesion.
Masonry (brick, block): Should be dry and free of moisture; ideally less than 12% moisture content.
Metal: Should be completely dry and free of any condensation or rust before painting.
If moisture levels are too high, it can cause adhesion problems, blistering, and premature paint failure. That’s why we always test and prepare surfaces carefully before painting.
How long will the exterior paint job last?
The lifespan of an exterior paint job depends on several factors including the type of paint used, surface preparation, environmental conditions, and maintenance. With high-quality products like Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint® and proper surface prep, you can generally expect:
5 to 10 years on most surfaces like wood, siding, and trim
Masonry surfaces may last even longer with the right paint and conditions
Regular maintenance—such as cleaning and timely touch-ups—can extend the life of your paint job and keep your home looking fresh for years to come.
Do you pressure wash or prep the surface before painting?
Of course! We follow a detailed process on every exterior project to ensure maximum adhesion, durability, and a clean, professional finish.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Pressure Washing – We begin by thoroughly pressure washing the surfaces to remove dirt, mildew, and loose material. Clean surfaces are key to long-lasting results.
- Protection – Next, we carefully cover all areas that shouldn't be painted — windows, lights, patios, and more.
- Surface Prep – We scrape off any loose or peeling paint, prime any bare or raw spots, and caulk all gaps or cracks to seal out moisture.
- Painting – We apply two full coats of high-quality paint. For porous surfaces like wood or masonry, we back roll the first coat to ensure deep penetration and full coverage.
- Clean-Up & Walkthrough – After painting, we remove all masking materials, clean up thoroughly, and walk the job with you to make sure everything looks great.
When you’re 100% happy with the result, that’s when we call it a job well done.
Other Questions
What is lime wash painting and how does it differ from regular paint?
If you're looking for a way to give your brick a classic, aged look that breathes with your home and never peels like paint, limewash is the perfect solution.
We use high-quality, mineral-based products like Romabio Classico Limewash, made from authentic slaked lime. Unlike regular paint, this isn’t a surface coating — it soaks into the brick, forming a breathable, long-lasting finish that we can gently wash off in places to expose the natural brick underneath. That process is called distressing, and it lets us create a custom-aged look with warmth, texture, and charm.
Do I need to be home during the painting project?
We’d love to have you there on the first day of the project just to touch base and make sure everything starts off on the right foot. After that, there’s no need for you to stick around — you're free to head to work, relax, or even take a vacation! You're in great hands with our crew.
Our track record speaks for itself — just check out our Google reviews. We’re proud to say we’ve earned 100% customer satisfaction!
How many coats of paint do you typically apply?
We always recommend two full coats of paint. This meets the requirements of most paint manufacturers for their product warranties and ensures proper coverage, durability, and a consistent, long-lasting finish.
If a customer insists on a single coat, we can do that—but it's important to understand that it may void the paint warranty and shorten the life of the paint job. We're always upfront about the pros and cons so you can make the best choice for your home!
